Dear all, It’s that time of year when we pause to celebrate the achievements of the past months, look ahead to what’s next, and take a moment to enjoy the season’s festivities. One highlight for 2026 will be a very special milestone: Swedish Life Cycle Center celebrates its 30th anniversary on 18 November. This marks three decades of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and progress within the life cycle field – a journey we’re proud to continue together.
2025 has been an eventful and rewarding year filled with many fruitful working groups meetings, high-quality Life Cycle Talks, and both a Network mingle and a Network conference (and so much more!). At the Technical Secretariat, we’ve also welcomed a new colleague, Sofia Jonson Veloso, who joins us as Project Manager. You can learn more about Sofia in the newsletter below.
Now we would like to wish you happy holidays and a fantastic start to 2026!
Sincerely,
Anna Wikström, Sofia Jonson Veloso and Maria Rydberg, Technical Secretariat, Swedish Life Cycle Center |

Invitation to become a funding partner of the Life Cycle InitiativeThe Life Cycle Initiative is a multi-stakeholder partnership hosted by UNEP since 2002 which provides a global forum to ensure access to life-cycle knowledge as a public good to support decisions and policies towards sustainability. The work of the Life Cycle Initiative would not be possible without the support of its sponsors. Collaboration opportunitiesSwedish Life Cycle Center plays an important role for all its actors within the Center to build networks, competence and influence future development. How the partnership is used is up to the partner. Partners value the direct contact to the network, research and high level discussions. Others are engaged in working groups that go in line with their organization’s agenda. And for some organizations, Swedish Life Cycle Center has been and is a key to their continuous work with life cycle related improvements and capacity building. The Center hosts a dialogue group with nine government agencies in Sweden, engages small and medium-sized companies through a letter of collaboration and enters into collaborative partnerships with other life cycle organizations at a global level. |
